CanEditAssignmentStartOrEndDate Setting
This setting allows training administrators to edit the assignment start and end dates. This feature is useful if training administrators need to extend an assignment because more employees were added to the assignment or employees haven't been able to complete it.
Note: In general, we recommend that training administrators do not edit start and end
date after an assignment begins because such changes could lead to inaccurate
completion percentages in reports.

If you want to prevent training administrators from editing assignment start and end dates, contact PureSafety Customer Support so that they can disable the CanEditAssignmentStartorEndDate setting for your organization.
Here are some changes training administrators can make if this setting is enabled:
- This change applies to one-time assignments and one-time series. They can change the start date to a past date for assignments that are in progress or have been completed. For example, they can take advantage of this option if they assign several assignments to their employees on April 2, then create another assignment on April 15, and want it to be on the same timeline as the other assignments. In this case, they can set its start date in the past, for April 1.
- Training administrators can change an assignment’s start date to a later date as long as the new date is not later than the end date. They can do this for certifications only if none of the trainees has started the certification.
- Training administrators can change an assignment’s end date to an earlier or later date.
