EnableMessagePermission Setting

This setting allows you to control which users can send and receive certain messages based on senders’ and recipients’ security and roles. Users’ security determines who they can send messages to.

  • Default setting: Enabled
  • Users with security permission Can Message Everyone can send messages to any user in the system. Training and system administrators have this permission by default.
  • Users with security permission Can Message Hierarchy can send messages only to the users listed below. Organization unit administrators and organization unit training administrators have this permission by default.
    • Users who belong to the organization units they manage.
    • Administrators who manage them.
    • Administrators who can send massages to everyone because they have the Can Message Everyone permission.
  • Users with security permission Can Message Admin can send messages only to administrators who manage them or the organization units they belong to. They can not send messages to other trainees or administrators of organization units they do not belong to. Trainees have this permission by default.

If you do not want to restrict messaging based on user security, contact PureSafety Customer Support to disable this setting.

Note: After this setting is disabled, all users can send messages to any other user in the system.
