About PureSafety by UL EHS Sustainability

PureSafety, the Safety Management System, is a customizable, online safety training, and management solution.

PureSafety is a multi-tenant, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application, fully hosted by UL EHS Sustainability.



PureSafety has the features below.
  • Web-based, which means that employees can access their training anytime, anywhere.
  • Provides users the ability to track and manage their training programs the same way.
  • Emphasizes training management and gives you the ability to track the inventory of training content and manage training assignments made to each employee.
  • Provides useful reports on employee, assignments, and training units.
  • Includes a Content Creation System (CCS) module, which allows users to customize, manage, and deploy training that is tailored to their specific needs. With the CCS, customers can create new SCORM- and AICC- compliant training content as well as edit existing PureSafety content directly from their browser.
  • Includes the Incident Management System (IMS) module.

Data Protection Procedures

UL EHS Sustainability protects PureSafety data through the following well-established procedures:
  • State-of-the-art data center with strong physical access controls to prevent any unauthorized access.
  • Industry-standard infrastructure and network security components
  • Automated tools that monitor and ensure the privacy of all data stored within the PureSafety application
  • Software development practices that leverage best practices for coding and testing, including detailed product management evaluation, analysis, prototype and design, reviews and approvals, testing, and user acceptance.

PureSafety including the Incident Management System (IMS)

PureSafety includes the Incident Management System (IMS) module, which provides customers with the tools they need to establish more proactive and robust safety management practices.

With the IMS, companies can do the following:
  • Allow managers, supervisors, and other employees to easily submit observations of incidents near misses, and conditions that could lead to an incident.
  • Enable supervisors to follow up on observations immediately by assigning a corrective and preventative action (CAPA) to specific users, initiating an investigation to identify the root cause of a problem, or assigning training.
  • Create employee injury records for work-related and non-work-related injuries.
  • Track injury details, treatment information, and resulting lost or restricted work days.
  • Monitor related observations, near misses, incidents, and injuries and follow up on them simultaneously.
  • Manage the entire follow-up process for a single incident or multiple related incidents from a single place.
  • Calculate rates, such as Lost Time Incident Severity, by company, location or department.
  • Identify trends and implement follow-up steps without delay.
  • Easily generate required OSHA reports (300, 300A, 301).
