How can I restrict an employee to see only information for a specific location but not manage people in that location?

There is a not a standard IMS Organization Unit Administrator role. We recommend that you create a custom security role that includes the permission that governs this. Assign the custom role as well as the IMS Administrator, IMS Injury Administrator, IMS Operators, and IMS Worker security roles to the employee. Then, place that employee as group administrator over the appropriate group.

  1. Create a custom IMS Organization Unit Administrator security role.
    1. Go to the PureSafety tab > People > Security Roles.
    2. Select the Organization Unit Administrator role.
Note: This role includes the Organization Unit Administrator security permission by default.
    3. Click Copy Role.
    4. Open the Copied role.
    5. Type the name. For example: IMS Organization Unit Administrator.
    6. Type the description.
    7. Uncheck the follow permissions:
      • View Organizational Directory
      • Manage Organization Unit Roles
      • Manage Organization Unit Employees
      • Manage Organization Unit Hierarchy
      • Manage Organization Unit Administrator
    8. Click Save.
  2. Assign the custom role to the appropriate employee.
    1. Go to the PureSafety tab > People.
    2. Select the employee.
    3. Click Security Roles.
    4. Click Add.
    5. Click the custom security role.
    6. Click Add.
  3. Add the employee as an organization unit administrator for the appropriate group.
    1. Go to the PureSafety tab > People > Groups.
    2. Select the group.
    3. Click the plus sign beside the Add People field.
    4. Select the employee.
    5. Click Select.
