The way you respond to the metrics in the Safety Scorecard depends on the processes currently in place, your expectations, and the needs of your organization.

Below are some recommendations for reviewing the Safety Scorecard's metrics:

Many of the metrics in this report help you evaluate if your team is using IMS effectively. If the team falls behind and allows tasks and other assignments to become overdue, send them notifications and reminders to make sure they complete all assigned duties in a timely manner.
If necessary, escalate overdue items to upper management and discuss ways to solve the situation and prevent such problems in the future. For example, you may need to reallocate resources to ensure all tasks get done on time.
Be sure to set clear expectations and goals.
Hold employees accountable.
Make sure supervisors and other team leaders implement recommendations from training.
