IMS Users

IMS users can be categorized by the type of work that they perform in the system. Consider how your employees fit in these categories as you review the list of users.

All individuals must be PureSafety users.

  • Workers. Employees who can submit incident reports in IMS.
  • Supervisors. Employees who are required to fill out a supervisor report when an incident or near miss occurs.
  • Operators. Employees who are generally responsible for managing safety at your organization, such as supervisors or managers. These users can assign tasks, view employees’ progress on assigned tasks, and follow up on these assignments.
  • Task Assignees. Employees who are assigned tasks through IMS. These users receive task assignments in the IMS, may complete their tasks in the system or outside the system, and record their progress and completion in the system.
  • Injury Administrators. Employees who are responsible for keeping track of OSHA-related information and generating OSHA reports. These users are often supervisors or managers in the Safety department or your company’s nurse manager.
  • System Administrators. Employees who are responsible for configuring, customizing, and maintaining the system and users’ permissions.
