IMS Administrator

The IMS Administrator role includes permissions for managing roles, directories, and other IMS settings that affect all IMS users.

Note: By default, administrators are granted this security role in conjunction with the System Administrator and the IMS Operator security roles. All three security roles are required in order to have all administrator options in IMS.
Note: This functionality is available only to customers who have licensed the Incident Management System (IMS) module in PureSafety.
The IMS Administrator security role includes the following permissions by default:
  • Can Assign/Unassign Security Role To User. Allows the user to assign security roles to other users or remove security roles from other users.
  • Can Create "Body Part" Configurable Look-up Values. Allows the user the ability to create, edit, activate, or inactivate look-up values for "Body Part" within IMS
  • Can Create "Causal Factor" Configurable Look-up Values. Allows the user the ability to create, edit, activate, or inactivate look-up values for "Causal Factors" within IMS
  • Can Create "Cause of Injury" Configurable Look-up Values. Allows the user the ability to create, edit, activate, or inactivate look-up values for "Cause of injury" within IMS
  • Can Create "Nature of Injury" Configurable Look-up Values. Allows the user the ability to create, edit, activate, or inactivate look-up values for "Nature of Injury" within IMS
  • Can Edit Risk Assessment Matrix IDs. Allows the user the ability to edit risk assessment ids within IMS.
  • Can View IMS Directory. Allows the user access to the IMS functionality and the IMS tab in the top navigation bar.
  • Can View Incident Injury Summary. Allows the users to see the tab, Initial Injury Report, on incident records. This tab includes the original injury report that the employee submitted.
  • Import Hours Worked Counts. Allows the user to manually run the Hours Worked import. (Requires High Password)
  • Manage Classifications. Allows the user the ability to create, edit, and delete custom fields used in incidents and events.
  • Manage Corporate Incident Rate Goals. Allows the IMS administrator to set corporate incident rate goal for a location.
  • Manage Custom Fields. Allows the user the ability to create, edit, and delete custom fields used in incidents and events.
  • Manage IMS Lookup Tables. Allows the user to inactivate standard values and to create, edit, and delete custom values in the IMS lookup tables. Note: Users who have this permission can manage only the table values on the IMS Lookups screen.
  • Manage Injury Log. Allows the user to create, edit, and delete injury logs in IMS. Note: Users who have this permission have full control over the Injury Log even if they do not have the individual Can Create Injury Log, Can Delete Injury Log, and Can Edit Injury Log permissions.
  • Manage IMS Notifications. Allows the user to change notification settings for all users by going to the Global IMS Notification Settings section on the Notification Settings screen.
  • Manage Organization Unit Total Hours Worked. Allows the user to add and update hours worked information for organization unit.
  • Manage Submission Definitions Allows the user to create and modify submission definitions in the system.
  • Manage Tags. Allows the user to create tags that can be used in submissions and events. Users who do not have this permission have to select a tag from a pre-defined drop-down menu when adding a tag and cannot create new tags.
