Privacy Cases in IMS
OSHA requires that you protect employee data and Personal Identifiable Information (PII) about an injured employee when their injuries are privacy cases. This topic provides the details on fields hidden in order to protect injured employees' PII.
Note: All sharps and BFE injuries are marked as privacy cases.
The system hides the following information about an injured employee
when the injury is marked as a privacy case if the viewer does not have the appropriate
permissions:
- employee's name
- employee code
- job title
- hire date
- birth date
- gender
- address
The free-text description field on injury-related News Feed submissions are also hidden.
A Lock icon displays on several screens to show that the record is privacy case.
