Once a slide is created, you can follow the instructions below to add text to it. By using the formatting toolbar, you can also define how the text will appear in the presentation.

  1. Access the CCS.
  2. Open the slide you want to add text to in the Slide Editor (for instructions, see the View Slides topic).
  3. In the Slide Editor, click the Slide Script tab.
The Slide Script displays for the selected slide.
  4. Click the Text button in the Slide Script toolbar.
A blank Text entry is added to the selected slide.
  5. In the Caption section, highlight the default text (Caption text) and enter the text that you want to appear on the slide.
  6. Use the following options in the formatting toolbar to format the text.
    • Font. All text displays in Arial, by default. Use the font drop-down list to select a different font for the text.
    • Font Size. All text displays in 14 point size, by default. Use the size drop-down list to select a different font size.
    • Font Style. All text displays as normal text, by default. You can change the text to bold (B) or italic (I), or you can underline the text (U).
    • Color. All text is black, by default. You can click the Color button to change the text color. You can also create a custom color for the text in addition to the preset colors. Click OK after selecting a color.
    • Alignment. The text is left aligned, by default. You can center the text, make it right aligned, or make it justified.
    • Bullet. Click the Bullet button if you want the test to display as a bullet. Click the Remove Bullet button if you want to remove the bullet.
    • Hyperlink. Highlight the desired text and click the Hyperlink button if you want to add a hyperlink to the text. Type the complete URL (Web address) or select an asset to associate with the text on the Insert Hyperlink window.
The formatted text displays in the Caption field of the Text section.
  7. Type internal comments about the slide in the Notes field. The text entered in this field is visible only to people who are editing the slide. This text is not visible to trainees when they are viewing the presentation.
