Add Instructions

After you have added questions and images to a click-the-image slide, you can use the Layout tab to add trainee instructions about this learning activity.

  1. Access the CCS.
  2. Open the click-the-image slide that you want to preview (see the View Slides topic for details).
  3. Click the Layout tab.
  4. Double-click the instructions box (the box that displays the text Add Instructions Here). The Edit Instructions window displays. This window is used to enter the instructions, format the instructions, and play a sound when the instructions display. Type the instructions exactly as you want them to display on the slide to trainees. You can use the options below to format the instructions.
    • Font. All text displays in Arial, by default. Use the font drop-down list to select a different font for the text.
    • Font Size. All text displays in 14 point size, by default. Use the size drop-down list to select a different font size.
    • Font Style. All text displays as normal text, by default. You can change the text to bold (B) or italic (I), or you can underline the text (U).
    • Alignment. The text is left aligned, by default. You can center the text, make it right aligned, or make it justified.
    • Color. All text is black, by default. You can click the Color button to change the text color. You can also create a custom color for the text in addition to the preset colors. Click OK after selecting a color.
    • Sound. To play a sound with the statement box, click the Select New button. If the sound file you want to play is listed in the Sound window, select it and click OK. If the sound file you want to play is not listed in the Sound window, click Upload New and browse to select the file. Once the file is listed in the Sound window, select it and click OK.
  5. After formatting the instructions, click Save on the Edit Instructions window.
The formatted text displays at the top of the click-the-image slide.
