Preview a Slide

Once a content slide is created, you can preview it to see how it will be presented to trainees who view the presentation. In addition to previewing content slides, this section also includes instructions for editing content slides while in preview mode.

Note: The topics in this section apply to content slides only.

After building a content slide on the Slide Script tab, you can use this task to preview it on the Live Preview tab. The preview feature allows you to review the slide just as it will display to trainees who view the presentation.

  1. Access the CCS.
  2. Open the Content Slide you want to preview (for instructions, see the View Slides topic).
  3. In the Slide Editor, click the Live Preview tab.
A blank Live Preview tab displays.
  4. In the Play Controls section of the toolbar, click the Play button. The selected slide begins to play in preview mode. While reviewing the slide in preview mode, remember that this is exactly the way the slide will appear to trainees who are viewing this presentation.

The controls available on the Live Preview tab are listed below.

  • Stop Stop icon button. Click this button to stop the live preview of the slide. Once you click this button, the slide instantly stops and the Live Preview tab is blank.
  • Pause Pause iconbutton Click this button to manually pause the live preview of the slide. To resume the live preview, click the Play button.
  • Play Play icon button. Click this button to play the slide in live preview mode. If the slide contains a user interaction pause, the slide automatically pauses once it reaches the wait point. At this point, you must click the blinking Play button to resume the preview.
  • Seekbar Seekbar. As the slide plays in live preview mode, the seekbar provides a visual representation of the progress. Once the button on the seekbar reaches the end point, the slide is complete.
  • Sound Playback section Sound Playback. By default, the slide plays the sound associated with the slide in live preview mode. If you want to preview the slide without the sound, select the No Sound radio button and then click Play.
  • Scale options Scale options. Click the - (minus) and + (plus) signs to decrease or increase the size of the slide you're previewing.
  • Move Move button button. Click this button to enable the Move pointer, which allows you to move the preview slide as necessary (up, down, left, and right). Note: You must click the Move button again to disable the Move pointer and use the regular mouse pointer again.
