Edit a Task

If you need to make changes to a task you have already assigned, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to the PureSafety > IMS > News Feed.
  2. Select the appropriate observation.
    Associated tasks display in the observation record.
  3. Click the task you want to edit.
    The View Task window opens. If the task has not been completed, the Edit and Delete buttons are enabled. Otherwise, they are disabled and you cannot make changes to the task.
  4. Click the Edit button to make changes to the task.

    The Edit Task window opens. Make the necessary changes and click Save.

  5. You can also delete a task, as needed by clicking the Delete button from the View Task window.
  6. Click Close on the View Task window.
Note: You cannot edit a task that assigns training directly since that task is completed as soon as it is assigned. See the Assign Follow-Up Tasks topic for more information about this type of task.
