Assign a Single Task to Multiple Employees

You can assign a single task to multiple employees for individual completion. You can add employees to in progress tasks.

Note: Tasks can not be assigned to Organization Units or Groups.
  1. Go to the PureSafety tab > IMS > Tasks.
  2. Click Create.
  3. Provide the appropriate information.
  4. Select employees.
  5. Select a start date.
    The start date is available only for general purpose, investigation, and maintenance tasks created outside of an event. The start date is set to the current date by default. The task assigns on the selected start date.
  6. Select an end date and the employee who should verify that the task is completed.
  7. Type instructions, attach files, and add tags.
    The instructions tab is required.
  8. Click Save.

The task displays on each employee's home page. If you selected a future start date, the task displays on the start date.

Each employee must complete the task individually. To review the task status for a specific employee, hover over the employee's name on the Task Details screen.

Note: All employees assigned to a corrective action task must complete it in order for the task to be marked complete.

Detail reports containing tasks assigned to multiple employees display the word Multiple instead of individual names.

Remove an Employee from a Task

You can remove employees from the task if the task is not completed. Once removed, the system excuses the task for that employee and deletes related records.

One employee must remain on the task. Otherwise, you should delete the task.
