Create an Injury Record

Operators can create an injury record directly from the Injuries screen in IMS.


Non-employee injury record

Note: Brackets (< >) are not supported in text fields.
  1. Go to the PureSafety tab > IMS > Injuries screen.
  2. Click Create.
  3. There are three ways to select an employee on the Employee tab. They are listed below.
    • You can select the employee name by typing in the Select Employee field. This allows the system to automatically search. You can click the selection Selection Button button to select an employee from the list.
    • If the employee is not in the list and you want to add the employee to the system, you can check the Injured Party not in system box. Then, you can check the Add Employee to system checkbox.
    • If the employee is not in the list and you do not want to add the person to the system, you can check the Injured Part Not in system box. Note: If you use a non-system employee, the injury record will not be displayed in employee reporting.
      Note: For non-employees that are not added to the system, we recommend creating an employee code that is not similar in format to your typical employee codes. This avoids future duplications.
  4. Provide the appropriate information, as needed, on the Employee screen.
  5. Click the Next button to continue.
  6. Provide information about the injury on the Injury tab.

    Note: The location field is required if you do not specify an injury log for the injury.
  7. Click the Next button to continue.
  8. Complete the fields on the Case tab.

  9. Click the Next button to continue.
  10. Complete the fields on the Treatment tab, as needed.
  11. Click the Save button.
