Create Custom IMS Forms and Fields Create a Custom Investigation Form There are several standard investigation forms available in IMS. However, you can also create custom forms by creating training units and then indicating they can be used in IMS investigations. Creating Custom Values for Cause of Injury, Body Part, and Nature of Injury You can create custom values to use on the IMS Injury information screen. With custom values that suit your organization, OSHA reporting and the Safety Scorecard can more accurately describe injuries tracked in the IMS. Default and custom values can be marked active or inactive. This limits the selection list presented to users in lookup options. Creating Custom Classifications Employees select classifications when they are submitting an incident report or Supervisor Report or when they create an event. Classifications help define the type of issue involved in the submission. You can customize the list of classifications that is presented to users when submitting observations and creating events. This gives you the ability to implement classifications that more accurately reflect the needs of the organization. Creating Custom Fields for Incident Reports and Events The custom fields framework allows you to add input fields for use on incident reports, events, or both. Your organization can collect and report on incident-related information that is specific to your environment. You can create fields for specific classifications. These fields will only display when that classification is selected. You can also leave them unclassified. Unclassified fields display even when no classification is selected. Creating Custom Causal Factors Values Nine standard causal factor categories are provided with the IMS. You can create additional custom causal factors that more closely meet your organization's needs when reviewing incident reports. Each category can have unlimited detailed levels. Configuring Risk Assessment Labels and Descriptions The Severity and Recurrence labels and descriptions that display in the Risk assessment area of events, incidents, and supervisor reports can be configured to reflect your organization's standards.
